Community Counseling Resources:

The Center for Loss and Bereavement is offering COVID19- Mental Health Therapy and Support Groups. They provide a wide variety of grief services for children through adulthood. Unique to our current situation, they are providing specialty services for those touched by COVID-19.

The following was found on their website to describe individuals they are able to provide support to:

  • those who have been critically ill with COVID19 and confronted their own dying, and may have recovered with subsequent health losses and/or traumatic memories/stress
  • the loved ones and companions who will have experienced another’s illness, either in-home or from afar, and been confronted with another’s life-threatening conditions and isolating factors of quarantine, in addition to the potential loss of life.
  • those having confronted cumulative losses and risk to personal safety with exposure to the front lines of the healthcare system – for medical staff and first responders who may carry experiences and memories confronting death and dying that are traumatic and overwhelming”
