Dr. Guarino Buli at the Virtual PA Coalition of Public Charter Schools Conference 2020
On October 22, 2020, RA CEO, Dr. Gina Guarino Buli appeared as an industry-leader panelist during the PA Coalition of Public Charter Schools Conference lunch discussion. Some of the focus points of the panel exchange included how each administrator has moved from onsite learning to online. They shared the different strategies, resources, and practices they have put in place to not just survive but to thrive during this difficult time, to benefit students, families, and their teaching staff.
The four panelists also exchanged ideas on how the current situation could actually be an opportunity for growth. They discussed what schools’ role is in society and how reimagining the educational system could influence the achievement of the “American Dream” for all students.
At the closing of the session, each panelist was asked, “What is your hope for the future of education?” To this, Dr. Guarino replied, “Students have shown such grace and resiliency throughout the online learning and my hope for them is that they can see the positive experiences and changes in their lives or responsibilities as building blocks which propel them forward with new skills.”
