Mrs. Krock, A Helping Hero
On October 19th, 2020, during a morning virtual classroom lesson, one of our Renaissance Academy parents became ill. Thinking quickly and remaining calm, kindergarten teacher, Barb Krock cleared out her online classroom, got 911 on the phone, comforted the kindergarten student, (who was her eyes and ears on the scene), then made sure the paramedics showed up!
The parent was brought to the hospital and is now home.
Mrs. Krock said that she completely empathized with her tiny, young student. She said “I would be so scared if I were this student. I wanted to help him feel like he was doing the right thing, he was saving his mom. All I wanted to do was reach through my screen and be right next to that mother and reassure her help was on the way!”
The RA community is thankful for and so very proud of their Kinder-Hero!
