Dear K-6th Grade Families,
It’s officially time to start thinking about how to keep your children motivated and engaged in their learning over the summer break. Typically, without
continued reinforcement of what they’ve learned, students will lose 2-3 months of grade-level knowledge. By simply engaging in work a few minutes a day, they can work to reverse summer learning loss.
Below you will find work for your child/children according to what grade they WILL BE ENTERING in August 2019. These activities are specifically designed to help students retain more of what they’ve learned throughout this school year. Let’s work together to help students reverse summer learning loss.
Students are encouraged to keep track of all work completed. It’s always fun to create a summer learning journal or folder to keep track of their work. At the beginning of the school year, students are encouraged to turn what they’ve collected and completed to their teacher for a special treat!
